On Saturday Feb 20th, the First Canadian Chapter 99s hosted a Lunch & Movie get-together at the Brampton Airport.

embers and friends joined us for a nice afternoon, enjoying the movie ‘Breaking Through the Clouds’, a documentary with original film footage of the first women’s transcontinental air race in August of 1929. Together these women were flying in the face of anyone w
ho believed women belonged on the ground not the air. There was a media darling, the Hollywood starlet, Aviatrix record breakers and the unforgettable foul-mouthed wife of a preacher.
We had a nice day and met several flight students who we hope will join us as a FCC 99 member.
