It was a beautiful day to fly to the first airport in Canada named after a woman. FCC member, Dorothy Rungeling, has been an inspiration to young females looking toward aviation and becoming a pilot for many decades.
At 104 yrs old, Dorothy is a remarkable intelligent active women today. It was an honour to meet her and have a chance to be part of this special day with Dorothy and her friends, airport and government officials.
Below are some photos taken from the airport and from her retirement home ceremony.
