It’s exciting to announce that Ninety-Nine member Kathy Fox is being inducted to Canada’s Aviation Hall of Fame.
The CAHF will induct four new members, and recognize a Belt of Orion recipient at it’s 43rd annual gala dinner and ceremony, to be held Thursday June 9 2006, at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum, at Rockliffe Airport in Ottawa.
Kathy and other inductees are selected for their contribution to Canada’s development through their integral roles in the nation’s aviation history. She will join the ranks of the 220 esteemed men and women inducted since the Hall of Aviation Fame began in 1973.
Kathy Fox has dedicated her entire life to the aviation community in Canada, both through personal activities in flight instruction, sport aviation and sport parachuting fields, and in her professional capacities in the promotion and advancement of flight safety.
She has had an outstanding career in the air traffic control community. At NAV CANADA she reached the highest level of management. Following her retirement, with the Transport Safety Board she was appointed Chair in 2014.
During all this time, Kathy has continued to play an active role in general aviation, promoting flight safety and assisting in with training and examination of aspiring aviators at all levels.
Kathy has been active with the Ninety-Nines is the past East Canada Governor and has introduced young girls and women to aviation through various free flight programs.
