Why Are We Running a Taildragger Ground School?

A Fleet Canuck C-FDPV has been donated for the purpose of getting more women pilots flying taildraggers. We will be basing the Canuck at Burlington Airpark and creating a flying club, making a inexpensive way for members to be part of Canadian history and flying this early training airplane.

If you would like further information on how you can learn to fly this taildragger, email [email protected]

What is the Fleet Canuck?

The Fleet 80 Canuck is a Canadian light aircraft featuring two seats in side-by-side configuration. The Canuck was designed for the flight training, personal use and light commercial roles. A total of 225 Canucks were built by two manufacturers during its thirteen-year production run, with the majority being built by Fleet Aircraft between 1945 and 1947.

C-FDPV was used as one of the several Canucks at the old Toronto Island flying school.
